Vinyl Deck Surfacing
Vinyl waterproofing is the process of applying a reinforced pvc vinyl membrane to the surface of the sundeck. This is the option for decks over living spaces, or a carport or storage area. Vinyl is available in 48, 60, 68 or 72ml thickness, and a wide range of colors
Waterproofing an Existing Deck
The surface of the deck must be smooth and even, to create a good bond with the vinyl. For an existing deck the old vinyl or paint will be removed, and the surface is sanded smooth. For decks with areas of rot, the old surface will be removed, and replaced with new plywood. Vinyl flashing is installed at the perimeter of the deck, and along the edge of the walls.
